Camino del Casalot from Mont-roig village

On this long but simple route you will rediscover the old Pratdip road and the imposing Casalot road, guarding much of its route along dry stone banks. For centuries, these two paths were the only way to access the crops of the southern part of Mont-roig and also to link with different parts of the coast. The most attentive observers will make out the marks carved into the rock by the wheels of the carts, while discovering the great wealth of dry stone elements, especially banks and huts. And it is that in Mont-roig there are more than 100! At the furthest point of the route you will visit what we call the cathedral of the huts, the Barraca del Jaume de la Cota, the most monumental in our country.
