Get ready for a magical night by the sea!

Experience one of the most special nights of the year at the Sant Joan festival in Mont-roig, a celebration that combines tradition, popular culture and fun by the sea.

The day will begin on Tuesday 23 June at 7.00 pm, with the arrival of the Canigó Flame at Plaça Mossèn Gaietà Ivern, accompanied by the Grallers de Mont-roig, La Pubilla, El Hereu and the Centre Excursionista l’Areny. This will be followed by the reading of the traditional message and the lighting of the bonfire, a symbol of one of the most deeply-rooted celebrations in the Catalan festive calendar.

In the evening, the festivities will move to Platja de la Pixerota, where the San Juan open-air dance will take place. Attendees will be able to enjoy a picnic-style dinner by the sea, sample the traditional St John’s cake and dance to the live music of the Reverse Orchestra. The night will continue with DJ sets until the early hours, in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

To make getting there easier, a free shuttle bus service will be available throughout the night.
